Billy Barker Days - The Rides

In LeBourdais Park in the downtown core of Quesnel there is a midway with plenty of rides but only for BBDays. For $30 per day the kids (and adults too) can ride an unlimited number of rides. They have all the vomit inducing small town midway standards such as the Salt-N-Pepper Shaker, the Octopus, The Zipper, The Sizzler and Zero Gravity. In addition there are many small merry-go-round, airplane-go-round, funhouse, air filled bouncy slides and of course the Ferris Wheel for the kids

On Thursday we were in the park from 10 AM until 10:30 PM with only a small afternoon break for the kids nap. Actually only Alice and Nathan did the park that long as Carter, Marshall and I took in the Crash To Pass stockcar races for 3 hours. Friday was a 12 Noon to 8 PM shift only this time my brother Doug and his daughter Natasha joined us. Needless to say we were all pretty beat by Friday night and hit the hay as soon as we got home so that we could get up early on Saturday and go watch the BBDays Parade.

Nathan chilling out on a Merry-Go-Round.

He did the Ferris Wheel and another ride called the Monkey Barrel which is a few slides and then running through a huge rotating tube trying not to fall flat.

Carter Showing the lamest Monkey Barrel technique.

Come to think of it he does look like a monkey doing it.

I did not dub the music for this video this is what the carnies were playing
