Printing

One of the great things about having a child is watching them develop and their skills at doing things get better at an exponential rate. Carter has been working very hard on his printing and is starting now to learn how to read and write. He has finally figured out how to sound out words using the sounds. It is at the very rudimentary stage but I can see the light bulb has come on as far as reading goes. Yesterday he tried so spell Robin (of Batman and Robin not the bird) and he wrote RBN which is a pretty good try in my books. Although he first learned to spell Batman, Spiderman and Superman he has finally learned to spell and write his own name without any help from Mom and Dad.

Alice got a small whiteboard for him to write on and he loves it. Here is his latest attempt at his name.
